phoenix love (2024)

phoenix love is a new orleans based sculptor, dancer, and model. one night after she dreamt of a figure, phoenix purchased clay and began sculpting her visions. soon enough, she quit her job of eight years as a financial crimes investigator and became a full time artist. phoenix talked about her work process, her penchant for movement based art, and ways she has seen new orleans change since hurricane katrina. this project was made on assignment for the nda workshop in 2024.
